Coworking Insights is proud to present our 2020 Desk Price Index Report, which analyzes and compares the monthly desk prices of 12,601 coworking spaces in 170 countries.
With each new year, evolving desk prices provide evidence of the continued demand for new shared offices and available workspace on an international scale. As a result, knowing the average desk prices in various cities, countries, and continents across the world offer useful insights into the coworking industry’s ongoing development.
With data provided by Coworker.com, the 2020 Desk Price Index Report represents the average monthly pricing for each continent, as well as leading cities and countries, and illustrates how these prices have changed over the last 12 months, from January 2019 to January 2020. This is our second annual Desk Price Index report.
Our findings this year have led us to conclude that hot desk prices dropped by 2.14% globally between 2019-2020, which demonstrates the increasing supply of new flex office spaces. The statistics give evidence of the further maturation of coworking markets as demand for shared workspace continues to grow across all continents.
In this year’s report, we explore key data related to international open/flexible seating prices, providing insights into topics such as:

In terms of country rankings, Monaco took the top spot this year for most expensive monthly hot desk price, coming in at $397 per month. Switzerland came in second place at $395 per month, and Malta is third with $347 per month.
