2021 Coworking Desk Prices Around the World: New Report

Coworking Insights is proud to present our 2021 Desk Price Index Report, which analyzes and compares the monthly desk prices of over 15,000 coworking spaces in 172 countries.

With each new year, evolving desk prices provide evidence of the continued demand for shared offices and flexible workspace.

Assessing the average hot desk prices of coworking spaces globally offers useful insights into the industry’s ongoing development, such as the most and least expensive markets as well as the top emerging cities across the globe.

With data provided by Coworker.com, the 2021 Desk Price Index Report represents the average monthly pricing for each continent, as well as leading cities and countries, and illustrates how these prices have changed over the last 12 months from January 2020 to January 2021. This is our third annual Desk Price Index report.

Our findings this year have led us to conclude that hot desk prices increased by 2.73% globally between 2020-2021. The statistics give evidence of the further maturation of coworking markets, with spaces during COVID-19 seeing demand rise from corporate clients, and less from small businesses and individuals working from home.

In this year’s report, we explore key data related to international open/flexible seating prices, providing insights into topics such as:

In terms of country rankings, Monaco took the top spot for the second year in a row for most expensive monthly hot desk price, coming in at $397 per month. Switzerland came in second place at $376 per month, and Malta is third with $363 per month.
