Avila Spaces Opens in Parque das Nações-Lisbon, Debuts New Cowork Café Concept

Avila Spaces, which 2023 was considered the Best Coworking in the World at the Global Startup Awards, will open a new coworking space and office center in Parque das Nações, Lisbon.

The opening of the third pole of Avila Spaces in Lisbon is scheduled for September. With this inauguration, Avila begins the celebration of its 20 years in business, which will be celebrated in 2024.

With the opening in Parque das Nações, Avila responds to growing demand from companies that have adopted the hybrid work model in recent years. These companies opt for short-term contracts and the flex office concept (flexible offices combine private workspaces with cowork and collaborative areas), betting on environments that value well-being and networking. These are, in fact, the main factors for retaining and attracting talent in the post-pandemic context.

“We have seen a 60% increase in demand from companies that are restructuring their organizational model: in addition to multinationals such as Chanel, Royal Caribbean and Lindt, Avila has several SMEs in its coworking spaces and offices on Avenida da República and Atrium Saldanha. At Avila, we offer an alternative to the home office; now, in addition to the one in the center of Lisbon, we also have the option of another noble area of the city: Parque das Nações,” saidCarlos Gonçalves, CEO of Avila Spaces.

The new Avila Spaces in Parque das Nações will be located in the Expo 98 building, five minutes from the metro and Oriente train station and 10 minutes from Lisbon Airport.

“Avila has hundreds of clients in the North and Center of the country, many of them in the virtual office modality so this location will be very favorable to them given the accessibility: train and plane,” recalls Carlos Gonçalves.

Avila Spaces will have two floors – 0 and 5 in this new location. The first floor of the Expo 98 building includes a coworking space, with an area for events of up to 100 people, individual work tables, a meeting room and the debut of a new concept in its ecosystem: the Cowork Café, with exclusive access for members, where snacks, drinks and a barista service will be served.

On the fifth floor will be an area with private offices, meeting rooms, a lounge area and a pantry: in total, there are more than a 1,000 square meters between these two new work environments that Avila will open in Parque das Nações.
