Convene Sancroft, St. Paul’s Opens New 45,000-Square-Foot Meeting & Event Venue in City of London

Convene, a global hospitality company that designs and manages premium meeting, event, and flexible office spaces, celebrates the grand opening of its newest U.K. venue, Convene Sancroft, St. Paul’s, located in Paternoster Square in City of London. The venue spans 45,000 square-feet across two floors in the newly redeveloped Class-A building.

Convene Sancroft, St. Paul’s comprises seven unique meeting spaces – each of which can be custom-configured to accommodate various event types – and plenty of gallery space for networking and food breaks, inclusive of an unlimited snack and beverage bar and cafe seating to enjoy meals prepared by a Convene Executive Chef.

The centerpiece of the venue is the 900-person grand hall,  the largest space within the Convene global portfolio as well as the largest single above-ground meeting room in City of London; Convene Sancroft, St. Paul’s can accommodate a total of up to 1,200 guests and is ideal for major conferences with main-stage sessions and breakouts, trade shows, exhibitions, or large corporate receptions.

Convene Sancroft, St. Paul’s was designed in partnership with acclaimed architecture and design firm Woods Bagot and was inspired by the Elizabethan era. Key design elements include:

  •  A bar made from the coveted Arabescato orobico rosso stone

  • The strategic use of colonnades reminiscent of those in the surrounding Paternoster Square to break up and frame built-in seating and snack bar elements

  • Floating ceiling timber rafts boasting a quintessential Elizabethan diamond pattern

  • Bold moments of color through the furniture elements and lighting fixtures

  • Varying floor finishes including a basket weave-inspired timber floor at reception and carpets with detailed tapestry and textile feel

  • Floral wallpapers and fabrics throughout

This is the second time Convene and Woods Bagot have partnered to create a high-design meeting and event venue; they previously completed the design of the award-winning Convene 22 Bishopsgate in Spring 2022.
