DevX, a managed office space provider in India, announced its entry into Hyderabad with a 700-seater coworking center. The new space in HiTech City will complement other prominent commercial spaces in the urban hub, which are home to the offices of global tech giants such as Oracle, Google, Facebook, Amazon and many more. The new location will be spread across 50,000 sq. ft., with DevX planning to add an additional 3 lakh sq. ft. to the space over the next 12 months.
The company is planning a pan-India presence by December 2021 with 15 total flex office centers.
Having recently emerged as Gujarat’s top and largest provider in the managed office space segment, DevX is a coworking operator founded in September 2017 by three entrepreneurs. The company was envisioned as a startup accelerator focused on nurturing innovative companies by providing them with the amenities and resources needed to grow.
Positioning DevX as an equal partner in growth, the operator also supports their member startups through strategic partnerships and services. The different initiatives of DevX are thus structured to build synergies, encouraging brainstorming and cross-pollination of ideas as a means of collaborative growth and development.
Speaking at the launch of the new Hyderabad DevX location, Co-Founder Parth Shah said: “Launching DevX Hyderabad is yet one more step forward in our journey towards setting standards for those who aspire to operate from a quality workplace environment. As global companies strive to set up offshore development centers, we stand poised to offer them best-in-class managed spaces with excellent amenities.”
According to Shah, DevX hopes to add to the already-existing global giants in HiTech City by setting up Global Capability Centers.
“We are striving to expand across India by December 2021, with 15 locations in 10 different cities,” Shah said. “Offering best-in-class workspace experiences at competitive pricing is one of our hallmarks, and we look forward to setting standards for the segment to aspire to.”
Reaffirming these views and elaborating on DevX’s larger framework, Kalyan Jhandyala, managing director of Menlo Technologies India, said, “For us at Menlo, this development meshes smoothly with our growth plans. We are thrilled that DevX’s offerings and ethos match our needs and views perfectly. The immense value and new opportunities the DevX Hyderabad facility offers are enormous for companies like ours needing managed, flexible spaces.”
From a national perspective, DevX Co-Founder Umesh Uttamchandani said the flexible and managed workspace sector in India is expanding rapidly as remote working goes mainstream.
“For global companies and MNCs, it makes good business sense not to lock up capital in owning or hiring spaces for the workforce, especially when they can work best at world-class facilities and managed workspaces,” said Uttamchandani.
“DevX is pioneering models that address and embrace the major concerns of the ecosystem. We are spurring immense synergies, collaborations, and cross-pollinating ideas that will have a major beneficial ripple effect,” said Uttamchandani. “Going forward, as more and more organizations recognize the importance of being leaner and agile, the managed workspaces segment will be ideally poised to address these concerns, and grow.”
As a core part of the ecosystem, DevX also provides a platform for academics, industry experts, and companies to hold hackathons, seminars, and other events to address emerging trends and issues of concern within the corporate ecosystem.
DevX is a coworking accelerator envisioned to provide world-class services to its clients. Firmly rooted in the ethos of collaborative growth through partnerships, DevX offers immersive accelerator services across the value chain, in addition to solving enterprise clientele’s office space real estate requirements.
