Global Meeting Room Demand Up 73% in Flexible Office Spaces

According to new data from Coworker.com, global meeting room demand within flexible office spaces is up 73% from 2020.

This statistic signals several different conclusions about the future of meeting room demand in a post-pandemic office environment.

For one, many companies have decided to forgo their traditional leases, meaning they no longer operate from a dedicated office space. As a result, these companies have adopted a work-from-home style of work, which leads employees to oftentimes look to meeting room bookings for group collaboration.

Meeting rooms in coworking spaces present the perfect in-between office space, offering a solution that’s just as professional as a traditional office but still casual enough that it can be used on an as-needed basis.

It goes without saying that people aren’t going to be holding client meetings or group meetings at home; independent business owners and smaller teams are instead hosting their meetings in coworking spaces as opposed to a coffee shop.

This is mainly because of the professional and fully-equipped nature of meeting rooms. Not only do most coworking meeting rooms offer an office-like setup, but they offer extra care when it comes to ensuring safety protocols in terms of contract tracing and cleanliness, which isn’t always the case in public places.

As a result of the pandemic, more people are realizing the importance of having a dedicated space that’s convenient, comfortable, and cost-effective.

As such, people are seeing the value in coworking meeting rooms, which is why global demand has increased throughout 2021 and will likely continue as flexible office space grows in popularity.
