Swedish coworking operator Helio is set to inaugurate its eleventh establishment in Gate:01, located in Frösundavik, northern Stockholm.

Situated in a perfect communications hub, yet nestled within the heart of Stockholm’s largest park, Gate:01 is a unique office complex offering unparalleled services in the Nordic market. With its extensive experience in operating coworking spaces and large office properties since its inception in 1998, Helio will oversee the flexible office offerings and services provided to the tenants in the building.

“We are incredibly proud to collaborate once more with the landlord Mengus. Gate:01 is one of Stockholm’s most renowned properties, and I am impressed by the improvements Mengus has made to the building in recent years. Its location next to Brunnsviken and Hagaparken offers a multitude of exciting opportunities. For instance, you can train with our running coaches, book tennis or paddle courts, borrow kayaks, and even swim during your lunch break,” said Patrik Åström, CEO of Helio.

“Helio will act as a central hub in the building for tenants, whether it’s about  renting a flexible office, borrowing a SUP board, or attending a breakfast lecture. Mengus has genuinely succeeded in creating a workplace that  entices employees to come to the office, and we look forward to raising the  bar for what an office building can be in the future,” added Åström.

Helio continues its growth journey with this eleventh location and sees sustained demand for flexible office spaces after the pandemic in both the Stockholm and Malmö markets. In addition to operating coworking spaces in Gate:01, Helio will also manage the building’s reception, lounges, gym, activities, meetings, events, and the extensive service offerings. Furthermore, Helio will introduce its Gro Café concept within the building.

All functions and services in the building are interconnected through Helio’s digital platform, allowing tenants to manage orders and payments for various services directly to the office. Helio’s lease encompasses a total area of 2,100 square meters, and the move-in is scheduled for after the summer of 2024.

“We are delighted to collaborate again with Helio, the leading player in the coworking market, with whom we have worked on other projects since the  2000s. Gate:01 is currently Sweden’s best office workplace, with more  people present in the building today than before the pandemic,” said Hansi Danroth, Founding Partner and Leasing Manager at Mengus.

“Coworking is a vital component in the ongoing development, and we have strategically freed up and refurbished spaces around the entrance to create a welcoming  facility with a reception, lounges, and a café. By adding a c coworking offering, we make the building accessible to smaller companies and those with shorter planning horizons, whom we previously couldn’t accommodate,” added Danroth.

A New Helio is currently under design in collaboration with the award-winning architects at CJ Studio, scheduled for completion after the summer of 2024. Members at Helio in Gate:01 will have access to work from all other Helio locations in Malmö and Stockholm.

A Helio membership includes workspace, breakfasts, lectures, access to meeting rooms and a podcast studio, yoga, member activities and events, personal training, and more.

Recently, Helio was also awarded “Community of the Year” among Sweden’s coworking operators for its efforts to create personalized offices where work isn’t just the  focus but also health, design, and networking, all essential elements of a modern workplace.

Since Mengus acquired Gate:01 in 2016, extensive modernizations have taken place. The entire original glass roof was recently replaced, and the entrance hall was expanded to better suit the active and vibrant multi-user property that Gate:01 has become.
