According to a new CoworkingCafe report, the Los Angeles metro area leads with the highest number of suburban coworking spaces, totaling 303, with Irvine as the top suburb, featuring 38 flex spaces.

Other metro areas like Washington, D.C.; Boston; Dallas; and San Francisco also have more coworking spaces in their suburbs than in their urban centers, indicating a significant shift in coworking space distribution.

This trend towards suburban coworking spaces is a continuation of the changes brought about by the pandemic, where many Americans moved to the suburbs for more space and affordability. As remote work became more common, the need for coworking spaces in these areas grew, and this trend shows no signs of slowing down.
